More about me:
I'm a licensed amateur radio operator (K3RED).
I read a lot, lift weights, and play drums. My goals are to get all the way through a song without messing up, and finally break 115 lbs. on the bench press.
I also paint and teach art workshops. You can see my artwork here.
Design, Documentation, and Content Specialist
Hello. I'm Marla and I'm a print and web graphic designer, in Raleigh, North Carolina, originally from Boulder, Colorado. I have a degree in Advertising Design from the Colorado Institute of Art.
Because I've worked with organizations in a wide variety of industries, I've been fortunate to accrue experience in many different areas: web design, document design and layout, typography, illustration, technical writing and editing, copywriting, newsletter design, museum exhibit design, federal and state proposal formatting, and logo design. I also have related skills such as photography and some knowledge of videography.
As you'll see in my resume, I have design and managerial experience, mostly in IT companies, some museum experience, and a lot of freelance and telecommuting experience. I'm used to working both independently and as part of a team. Most people I work with will say I'm good-natured and easy to get along with.
I'm also reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
And funny. Definitely funny.
